We started MovementFx out of discovery, curiosity, and necessity. We are endurance athletes, just like you. We have experienced and worked with athletes that have been frustrated by injuries,  plateaus, and poor performance.

About Us:

We feel your pain. We have been there and done that. We have experience and have seen many of the common problems that endurance athletes experience. A little bit about us and how we can help you.

Steph Buettner’s Story:

I have worked for 19 years as a massage therapist. Over the years, I noticed a common occurrence. I would work with injured athletes, they would get better. As soon as they started training again, they would end up back in my treatment room with the same problems. It was an endless cycle. I became a personal trainer and coach to figure out how to keep athletes healthy and injury free.

Steph Holbrook’s Story:

I was one of those athletes on Steph B’s table. I became a coach because I wanted to figure out what was going on with my body. I trained hard but was fat, slow and eventually injured and broken. I spent eight years figuring out what was going on. I finally fixed my body. I share what I learned with fellow endurance athletes. Thankfully, at 49, I feel better than I ever have in my life.

We want to help you, no matter where you are at. We use our combined 40+ years of experience to help athletes get faster, move farther, and remain injury free.

Coach Stephanie Holbrook

Coach Stephanie specializes in Periodized Nutrition. Your nutrition should match your training. She uses the latest science in a low carbohydrate/ketogenic diets, keto-adaptation, and fat adaptation, to optimize an athlete’s health and performance. She offers a comprehensive program that focuses on all aspects of health including mindset, stress, nutrition, sleep, and movement.


Stephanie took up endurance sports because she wanted to get into shape. She thought, surely, all that training would help her get fit and thin. She ate the high carbohydrate, low-fat diet recommended to endurance athletes. Instead of getting thinner, she got fatter, sicker, and broken.

Stephanie knew she had to make a change. She found out about low-carbohydrate and ketogenic diets. She made the change and finally got leaner, faster, stronger and healthy.

Stephanie is the owner of KetoEndurance. She has a passion for helping fellow athletes, like her, to use the power of ketogenic diets to look, feel, and perform at their best.

Coach Stephanie Buettner

A Pose Method Certified Running Technique Specialist, Personal Trainer, and Academy-Level Myofascial Release Specialist, Stephanie will help you understand the global dynamics of how your body fits together when you run and will show you the key shortcuts you need to optimize your training. Stephanie is partial to runs in the 75 to the 100-mile range and is a 20-year veteran of coaching triathletes and runners at the top level.


Stephanie knows what it is like to focus on training, to put in the hours and the miles of training to be derailed by muscle imbalances and injury. She used her experience, knowledge, and training to help athletes just like her to avoid the same problems that she experienced. Stephanie helps endurance athletes just like her to keep her body, and the bodies of the athletes she trains, in top physical form. She uses tools like the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and other tools to find your weaknesses and imbalances. She uses quantitative information to develop custom programs to keep the athletes she works with performing their best. She will be able to determine your readiness to train. She will help you set realistic goals, create a custom program that will lead to optimal performance.
